DAY 1. CAIRNS TO THE GREAT BARRIER REEF

Inclusions: Transfers to and from accommodation to the boat. Transfers to and from the Great Barrier Reef.  Snorkel and scuba dive equipment. Marine Biology presentation. Up to 6 hours at the Great Barrier Reef, visiting 2 reef locations. Unlimited snorkeling. Option for a scuba dive. Glass bottom boat tours (pending conditions). *All meals and snacks throughout the day*

Start the day right with a breakfast bacon and egg roll, enjoyed during your trip to the Great Barrier Reef. This day tour provides you with up to 6 hours at the reef, conditions permitting, during which time you’ll visit 2 separate sites with unlimited time for snorkeling. If you require some assistance in the water, there’s non-swimmer snorkel tours held throughout the day, as well as glass bottom boat tours. (Glass bottom boat tours are weather permitting). If you want to try scuba diving for the first time, now’s your chance, with a free introductory dive.

Lunch, snacks and refreshments are served throughout the day and are included in the tour price. All food is locally sourced and prepared fresh, by the onboard chef. Soft drinks, ice-creams and other cold drinks are available for sale (at extra cost) from the on-board bar.

The interactive Marine Biology Presentation is a great way to learn about the reef. This presentation is provided by the boat’s resident, onboard expert. We do suggest applying sunscreen regularly throughout the day and sunscreen lotion is provided onboard, free of charge. All snorkel and dive equipment are included and provided for your use throughout the day, on board the boat. For those staying in the Cairns Business District area, bus transfers to and from your accommodation to the boat are included in your day trip.

DAY 2. DAINTREE RAINFOREST & CAPE TRIBULATION

Inclusions: All travel, including an informative commentary by an accredited tour guide. Mossman Gorge. Daintree River Cruise. Daintree Rainforest Walk. Cape Tribulation Beach. *Lunch, refreshments and all attractions and activities mentioned. *

From the blue, into 50 shades of green with our premium, full day Daintree Rainforest and Cape Tribulation tour. The itinerary has been carefully crafted to showcase the best of this ancient rainforest, taking in Mossman Gorge, the Mossman and Daintree Rivers, Cape Tribulation Beach and more. You’ll be travelling in air-conditioned small group comfort and kept informed throughout the day, with commentary by your naturalist guide.

We offer pick-ups from Cairns, the Northern Beaches and Port Douglas. If you join us before Port Douglas, the day commences with a scenic tour along the Great Barrier Reef drive. We collect any extra guests in Port Douglas and take in the views over 4 Mile Beach, from the Flagstaff Hill lookout.

The next top is Mossman Gorge, where we have morning tea with a cold drink or local tea or coffee. As well as exploring the rainforest at Mossman Gorge, there’s also the option for a swim, before we stop for a restaurant lunch with a choice of meals available. With the engines charged, step aboard the boat, for a 1-hour cruise on the Daintree River. You might see crocodiles, turtles and local birdlife.

Then it’s over the Daintree River on a cable ferry crossing, and into the Daintree Rainforest. Enjoy views from scenic lookouts and learn more on a guided botanical walk, we even visit Cape Tribulation beach, which is where the reef meets the rainforest. For those with a sweet tooth we stop in at a local Daintree Ice-Cream Company in the afternoon, where you can purchase locally made exotic fruit flavoured ice-creams (at extra cost). If you’re returning to Port Douglas, we’ll get you back around 5.30pm. About an hour later for guests from the Northern Beaches and Cairns.
